
Thomas William Selleck is an American actor from America. His breakthrough role was as Thomas Magnum (private investigator) in the television series Magnum. (1980-1988) in which he received five nominations for the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead actor in the Drama Series. He won the award in 1985. From 2010 to 2010 Selleck has played the role of New York City Police Chief Frank Reagan. Since 2005, he has played the role of Jesse Stone, a troubled police chief in the small-town New York City. He has also been in nine TV movies which are based on Robert B. Parker novels. Selleck has also played the character of Peter Mitchell, a bachelor architect, in Three Men and a Baby (1987) as well as Three Men and a Little Lady (90). In addition to his roles in Magnum, P.I., Selleck has appeared in more than 50 movies and television shows, including the movies Quigley Down Under, Mr. Baseball, and Lassiter. He was a recurring TV actor in the roles of Monica Geller's lover Dr. Richard Burke, on Friends; Lance White, the attractive, unassuming friend, in The Rockford Files; and as A.J., the casino owner.
