Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe was raised in an ethnically mixed family. Her mother and father are both English. Her family was raised in a south London community estate, where she attended The Brit School at age 14. She went to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London which she graduated with an BA in acting. While attending the school was when she performed in various stage productions, such as the King Henry V as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe first began her career as an actress with the film Storm Damage. In the years since, she's made guest appearances on Teachers, Doctors, Casualty, and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe made her debut motion-picture role in the Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. Ashley Leggat, a twice Gemini nominated actress was born into a huge family living in Hamilton, Ontario. She was raised by her parents Roy and Patty as well as four of their older brothers: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. Ashley's brothers were athletic and played baseball in summer and hockey in the winter. Ashley did not have the ability to actually walk. She danced. When she reached just 2 1/2 years old, she joined Baby Ballet. That was the start of Ashley's love for dancing. After graduating from high school, Ashley danced competitively in the top divisions in tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, acrobatics, musical theatre, lyrical, and hip-hop. Top soloists at important competitions like International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, were all awarded to Ashley.
