LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born on December 30, 1984) is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). King James, he's widely regarded to be the greatest basketball player ever and is often is compared with Michael Jordan during debates about the greatest basketballer ever. James is the winner of four NBA Championships and the four NBA MVP Awards and four NBA Finals MVP Awards and three All-Star MVP Awards. He has also won the distinction of having two Olympic Gold medals. James has the world record of having the top amount of points scored during the post-season. He is second in overall career score and 7th most career assists. James has 18 NBA All-Stars, 18 All-NBA Teams, and five NBA All-Defensive First Team selections. The third-highest amount of NBA Finals ever was ten, with eight being consecutive between 2011-2018. James was selected to an NBA 75th Anniversary Team and became the NBA's very first player to have attained 10,000 points or more in rebounds, assists, and points during his professional career, in 2022. James was a basketball player at St. Vincent St. Mary High in Akron Ohio, where he grew up. National media touted James as a future NBA star. The Cleveland Cavaliers selected him with the first pick of the NBA draft in 2003. In 2004, he was named NBA Rookie. Then, he quickly was one of the league's best players and was awarded the NBA MVP title in both 2009 and 2010. In the end, he failed to capture a championship with Cleveland James left in 2010 as a free agent in order to join Miami Heat.
